Working in the field of oncology can be enormously rewarding and exciting—in our segment, adoptive cellular therapies, we are currently experiencing a revolution in the treatment of hematologic malignancies. If this can be extended to solid tumor malignancies, adoptive cellular therapy could present one of the most memorable scientific advances against cancer since the discovery of the monoclonal antibody. Join us, and be part of the vanguard in the fight against cancer.
At EXUMA Biotech, all of our founding technology has been developed in-house. This means that we are not beholden to outside interests or emotional attachments. We let data select the optimal composition of CAB-CARs without biases from previous work or external forces.
Our senior management and advisory teams consist of some of the brightest and most experienced minds in biotech, synthetic biology, immunology, and others. Working at EXUMA Biotech, as a small company, provides ease of access and direct mentoring from these leaders that is rarely possible at a larger company.
As a startup, we realize that we will not succeed in creating successful therapies unless we work together, as a team. At EXUMA Biotech we are not afraid to roll up our sleeves, pool our experience, and “wear many hats” when required to accomplish critical milestones. This can at times be quite challenging, and is not for the faint of heart. But if you love science, and are dedicated to finding a “complete response” where none exists today, then you will fit in at EXUMA Biotech.
We offer a comprehensive benefits package that is competitive with much larger companies. Some of what we offer includes: medical, dental, vision, retirement plans, and paid time off.
Our global structure provides the opportunity to experience other cultures around the world through cross-team management, interactions, and discussions, as well as visits to our other site locations. Having offices and laboratories spread across the globe means that—as a company—progress never stops, which helps us optimize efficiency and reduces downtime.
Cancer feeds on the hubris of scientists that believe they already have the answers, but is vulnerable to those that absorb the data and adapt as rapidly as cancer can evolve.
Greg Frost, CEOEXUMA Biotech truly takes a creative approach to cancer therapy. Working for EXUMA Biotech has enabled me to grow immensely as a researcher through pushing the limits of what I thought was possible in scientific research.
Ben Lopez, Research AssociateI joined EXUMA Biotech to be at the forefront of the development of novel and innovative Gene and Cellular Therapies. We are pioneering in the field of CAR-T therapy, and this—building from all our activities here at EXUMA Biotech—is a very challenging but also exciting and rewarding job to be a part of!
Frederic Vigant, Senior Scientist, Vectorology and BiosafetyI enjoy working for EXUMA Biotech because I love the challenge of trying to figure out how to cure (what is thought to be) incurable cancer and to help people who are suffering. I enjoy working with people that care about their company. We all support each other and work together to make ideas a reality. I enjoy appreciation received from people I am working with, which significantly outweighs the hard work.
