This is a full-time position located in EXUMA’s West Palm Beach, FL laboratories, working with a great team and with excellent benefits.

Here are some of the responsibilities:

• Laboratory Operations:
  • Ensure operational efficiency of EXUMA’s laboratories, ensuring compliance with biological safety protocols and other regulations.
  • Working with IT and connectivity, manage laboratory inventory and supply chains, including procurement, storage, and organization of equipment, supplies, and reagents.
  • Coordinate the maintenance, calibration, and repair of laboratory instruments and equipment integrated on the ELN, sample inventory and monitoring systems for the West Palm Beach Laboratories.
  • Implement and update as required laboratory workflows, protocols, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Monitor and manage laboratory budgets, including tracking expenses, resource allocation and efficiencies.

• Safety and Compliance:
  • Maintain a safe and compliant laboratory environment by adhering to regulatory guidelines, safety protocols, and best practices.
  • Develop and enforce safety protocols, including the proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials and biohazardous waste.
  • Ensure laboratory personnel receive appropriate safety training and promote a culture of safety awareness.
  • Regularly inspect and monitor laboratory facilities to identify potential hazards or maintenance issues and take necessary corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with relevant departments to obtain necessary permits, licenses, and approvals for laboratory activities.

We are looking for candidates with this background and education:

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a related field; biopharmaceutical experience preferred
• Proven experience (at least 3 years) working in a biological laboratory, preferably in a managerial or supervisory capacity
• Familiarity with relevant regulatory guidelines and compliance standards (e.g., BSL2 biosafety, OSHA & MSDS documentation)
• Excellent organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and allocate resources efficiently
• Proficient in scientific data analysis software, ELN, electronic real time environmental monitoring, laboratory information management systems (LIMS), and other relevant tools for inventory management
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate with diverse stakeholders and present scientific findings
• Ability to illustrate complex issues and to evaluate them critically as well as to navigate a goal-orientated decision process
• Possesses planning and organizational skills with a proven ability to work efficiently and independently
• Able to manage a number of projects simultaneously
• Has experience in multicultural environments
• Experience working in Oncology or Immuno-oncology field – Preferred
• Strategic thinker, self-starter, and results-oriented
