Diane McCarty has been the Human Resources Director with Exuma Biotech since
February 2018.  Ms. McCarty has global HR experience including organizational
development, and an extensive background in benefits, compensation, employment law,
employee relations, and recruiting. Prior to Exuma Biotech, Ms. McCarty supported over
500 employees in engineering and manufacturing groups as a Senior Business Partner at
General Atomics Aeronautical. In addition, Ms. McCarty was a Human Resources
Director for Optimer Pharmaceuticals from 2003 to 2011. During her tenure the
company experienced an IPO and a product approval. Optimer Pharmaceuticals was later
purchased by Cubist. Prior to Optimer, Ms. McCarty was the Human Resources Manager
at Ambit Biosciences. Ms. McCarty holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration
(San Diego State University) and is a Qualified Senior Professional in Human Resources
(SPHR), initially obtained in 2010.
